"How-To" Send Entry

After you bag that big buck, and you're ready to send your entry, go to your trophy room.

1. Find the deer you'd like to send in.

2. Press the blue 'Export' button on the bottom right hand side of the screen.

3. A box will pop up with a file name already in place, but you can edit this name. Click Save, and close Deer Hunter.

4. Open email to send.

5. Select "Attach File" or however your email is configured to send files.

6. Go to My Computer

>>If you'd like you can do a 'test run' and send me ( Cope ) any DH file you'd like, and I will let you know that I got it okay. Just put in the subject line, or somewhere in the email "test".

"How-To" Install Custom Maps

When you download, save to your desktop

Then when its done go to:

5. Deer Hunter 2005

6. Game

7. Custom Levels
>>Now copy (or cut) the red icon from your desktop and paste in the Custom Levels folder. (The icon will be red if you have the map editor installed. If not it may be a white icon with a blue E on it.)
>>Now you can play. *Note* Deer Hunter has to be closed and not running when you add a new level. It will not find and use that file if it is open.

"How-To" Server help

SouthernBob has provided us with the port numbers needed to run a dedicated server. So if you have had some trouble try these!

6667 (IRC)

3783 (Voice Chat Port)

27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)

28900 (Master Server List Request)

29900 (GP Connection Manager)

29901 (GP Search Manager)

13139 (Custom UDP Pings)

6515 (Dplay UDP)

6500 (Query Port)

Here is the best way I have found to set up a server for dh2005 with a router,
Go to this link http://www.portforward.com/default.htm and click on portforwarding in the top left hand corner, then find your router in the list and you should find the game, just follow the instructions. Now I will say this, I have read that if you open ports hackers may be able to access your computer, So if you bank online and stuff like that I would not advise doing this....I hope this helps,,It helped me.
